Hiccup's Wing Gliders

The Hiccup's Wing Gliders roller coaster is the sleeper hit of Epic Universe thanks to pleasurable swooping sensations that emulate the feeling of flying over the Isle of Berk aboard a dragon's back. There are no loops or stomach-grabbing plunges, so the whole family can join.

That's not to say the coaster (45 mph and heights of 50 feet) doesn't come with surprises of its own, such as a few quick launches and the moment it ventures into a nest of baby Gronckle dragons, but the effect here is to delight you with simulated soaring, not flood your arteries with adrenaline.

No one seems to agree on which seat location is the best. They all have their good points, so you may even want to ride a few times—there's reason enough to do it multiple times since the track makes a circuit of the Isle of Berk world, taking in the atmosphere.

There are free double-sided lockers before the boarding area for your bags. The queue area is outdoors (no AC), but sheltered. Kids can't ride alone if they're shorter than 48 inches (123 cm), and people can't ride at all if they're less than 40 inches (101 cm).  Ride duration: 2 minutes.
