Florida Keys Aquarium Encounters
An immersive aquarium, this attraction is entirely outdoors (there are tiki huts for shade where needed) and includes 20-minute long biologist-led educational tours of the facility at 10 minutes before each hour. In addition, the staff’s biologists conduct 15-minute long introductions to different animals around the compound throughout the day (snapping turtles, sharks and more), and oversee touch tanks with all manners of critters in them. Those who want to (sorry) dive deeper can sign up for a feeding encounter with nurse sharks, a guided snorkeling or scuba diving trip to their coral reef or lagoon and more. There’s lots to see and do here, so allot a full 2 hours for a visit (more if you do an encounter).
