This place is a kick. It’s a little old diner (dating back to 1926) that is jam-packed with First Nations memorabilia that ranges from ticky-tacky tourist tat to exceptional original artworks. It’s all good-humored fun, and your kids will love it. You might be even more excited about the fact that they use top quality, hormone-free, mostly organic ingredients. The Tomahawk is famous for its huge breakfasts, especially the Yukon-style bacon and eggs, which comes with five hearty slices of bacon. The burgers are also excellent, and the mile-high lemon meringue pie alone is worth the trip across the bridge. Note that on weekends the breakfast lineups can be epic, and you can expect them to be even more so now that the Tomahawk has been selected to appear on Food Network TV’s “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives” sometime in 2014.
