Getting There

By Train -- ]There are one to three hourly trains from Bordighera and San Remo (7 min. on regional trains).

By Bus -- Riviera Trasporti buses ([tel] 0184-592-706; www.rivieratrasporti.it) run every 15 minutes between Bordighera and Ventimiglia (10–30 min., depending on traffic).

By Car -- Since traffic on the coastal S1 road can be extremely heavy approaching the French border, it’s often faster to use the A10 Autostrada from Bordighera or San Remo.

Visitor Information

The tourist office is at Via Cavour 61 ([tel]/fax 0184-351-183). It’s open Monday to Saturday 8am to 7pm and Sunday 9am to 1pm (closed Sun Oct–May).

Festivals & Markets

July’s Battle of the Flowers is fought by contestants vying to build the most elaborate float, three-dimensional sculptures whose surfaces are mosaics made up of thousands of flowers. Friday morning’s market sells food, clothes, and all sorts of useful items in the park between Via Vittorio Veneto and the shoreline at Lungo Roia Girolamo Rossi and Passeggiata Oberdan.
