Disney’s Vero Beach Resort
Unlike the Disney resorts in Orlando, there’s an actual beach here. There’s also tennis, bocce, basketball, bingo, archery, mini golf, and a slew of other activities to keep the kids (and kids at heart) entertained. There are no rides, of course, but Disney’s signature character breakfasts are held at Wind and Waves restaurant, and they’re much less harried than those at the park resorts. The only drawback is that the food is mediocre and expensive, but you can always leave the property for better nearby options. Overall: this is a quiet, very chill place to vacation, with minimal Disney theming, but excellent service, well-maintained and comfortable rooms, and a wide array of activities for the wee ones.
