A La Fortune du Pot

Don’t let the name “Pot Luck” turn you off. You can be sure of good-value Burgundian cooking in this old village house at the bottom of the hill: like boeuf bourguignon, slow-cooked lamb shank with beans and eggs poached in red wine. Everything is homemade, even the organic bread. We particularly like the oeufs en meurette (bacon stewed in red Burgundy wine served with a poached egg). The wine list is small but perfectly formed of regional producers. The ambiance is good too, whether in the rustic dining room or the plant-filled terrace.
