Getting There -- Vichy lies on the heavily traveled Paris-Clermont-Ferrand rail line. Some 20 trains per day arrive from Clermont-Ferrand (trip time: 35 min.). Ten trains per day arrive from Paris's Gare de Lyon (trip time: 3 hr.); the one-way fare is 45€. For train information and schedules, call tel. 36-35 or 08-92-35-35-35. Bus service into town is usually not as convenient or well orchestrated as the train. The Gare Routière (tel. 36-35) lies adjacent to the rail station. If you're driving to Vichy from Paris, take A10 south to Orléans, and then connect to A71 south. At the Gannat/Vichy exit, follow N209 east to Vichy.
