The Coast Harbourside offers efficient, business-like accommodations on the Outer Harbour in James Bay, a short walk to downtown. The relaxing, comfortable rooms were all renovated in 2010, and have large windows—many overlooking the water—and balconies with terrific views, and are modestly decorated in light shades. From the hotel's marina dock, you can take a charming water taxi to destinations around the harbor and up the Gorge for just $5. The hotel also houses one of the city's best seafood restaurants, the Blue Crab, where Chef Chris Bailey offers an array of fish specialties including trademark crab cakes, coconut curry fish soup, and traditional clam chowder. The chef loves Louisiana spices, and many of his dishes pack some heat.
