Just across the Johnson Street Bridge from downtown Victoria, this modern property offers superior service and one of the finest views of the Inner Harbour. At night, the lights of the Legislative Buildings, Empress Hotel, and downtown Victoria shining across the water create a sense of romance. The recently renovated rooms are elegantly spare and thoughtfully designed; each room has a SmartDesk equipped with an array of connectivity options for audio and video, including a computer hookup to the room's flat-panel television. Many of the bi-level rooms have spacious living rooms with comfortable sofas, and chairs where you can sit and look out on the water. At the hotel's dock, catch a harbor taxi to ride along the Inner Harbour to stops downtown, or stop at the nearby Spinnakers Pub, known for its in-house microbrews. You can also walk along the waterfront to the pub, or in the other direction into downtown. The resort's Lure Restaurant and Lounge is currently under renovation and has been temporarily relocated onto the third floor, but is expected to reopen in late spring 2014.
