One of Victoria’s favorite meeting places. The curry buffet is a well-loved local ritual, though it isn’t cheap, and it probably won’t be the best curry you’ve had, either. Still, you do get all the butter-chicken and papadums you can eat, so there is that. Besides, this high-ceilinged colonial room is so comfortable, with its palm trees, deep leather chairs, and mementoes of the Raj, you might find it becoming your favorite hangout, too, especially once you’ve tried the tea-infused 1908 cocktail.
