It shares its brick-and-pine, rustic-meets-industrial space with a great little coffee shop, so you can easily pull up a table, order a latte, then dive into the bakery’s many baked delights. Fol Epi grinds its own organic flour (from rye and heritage Red Fife wheat) and bakes its bread in a wood-fired oven for some of the most flavorful artisan loaves you’ve ever tasted. At the same time, the bakers have a delicate hand with French-style pastries, including cookies, cannelles, tarts, and macarons. And, at lunch, they prepare individual pizzas and baguette sandwiches, perfect for tucking into your backpack as you head out on a bike ride along the nearby Galloping Goose Trail.
