For 20 years, this high-end seafood house has been serving up oysters, salmon, Dungeness crab, and more from an enviable location kitty-corner to the Tourism Victoria Visitors Centre. In late 2014, it will be undergoing a makeover of a dining room that was starting to look just a bit dated. But it’ll be back soon, serving up chef Marcelo Najarro’s local seafood with a touch of Italian panache—try the rich, creamy pasta carbonara with scallops, or the extravagant seafood dinner for two. If you’re just craving a quick snack, head next door to Pescatore’s sister restaurant, the Oyster Bar, for exquisite local bivalves on the half shell.
