The ever-changing exhibits of the Kunsthalle concentrate on Austrian and international contemporary art with a focus on photography, installation, video, and new media. The Kunsthalle has no permanent collection and uses two exhibition spaces, one in a glass cube on Karlsplatz and the larger exhibition space in the former winter riding hall of the MuseumsQuartier. Exhibitions range from group displays, solo shows, and retrospectives, and the venue also hosts regular talks and presentations on contemporary art. Public tours take place every Sunday and are included in the ticket price. Depending on your interest you should plan on 1 to 2 hours here.
