With a retro sign and charming staff, the "smallest grand hotel in Vienna" lives up to its self-ascribed superlative. It's a boutique hotel with Old-World charm oozing from every oil painting lining the walls. The decor is mostly modern however, and manages to fit seamlessly with the antiques. The rooms are dedicated to different figures from history: The "Madame Rosa" is in honor of the post-war years when the house was a bordello, and the "Christiane Hörbiger Suite" honors one of the greats of German and Austrian cinema. The extra goodie in summer is the adorable rooftop terrace, from which you can view the steeples of the Heiligenkreuzerhof in one of the most historic corners of the inner city.
