Only a few steps from the Hofburg Imperial Palace, the Steigenberger Hotel Herrenhof is located in the center of the first district. Built in 1913, it occupies an entire corner of the Herrengasse and has retained its stately facade and some beautiful touches like the cast-iron railing on the staircase.  Most of the interior has been tastefully modernized by Viennese atelier Einwaller in 21st-century interpretations of various historic styles, from Baroque to Art Deco. The rooms are spacious and comfortably furnished with violet upholstery and contemporary interpretations of Art Deco. Two suites come with rooftop terraces. The spa covers 250 square meters over 2 floors and includes 2 saunas and a steam room, a small fitness area, as well as an array of treatments.
