This highly anticipated addition to the Vienna night scene has lived up to the hype. Right outside the Opera, you walk downstairs, where the atmosphere morphs to a lavender-lit, Frankie-and-Deano-dinner-club vibe. There is no cover charge at the door, despite the nightly live performances of jazz and soul. The food is fantastic, but for the price, you may prefer sticking to post-dinner cocktails. There's live music until midnight followed by DJs who are often accompanied by vocalists. The booth tables usually require reservations, but the long U-shaped bar and dance floor are open for mingling. There's also an impressively well-ventilated smoking lounge, where you can top off the experience with a savory Cuban.
