The staff keep a stash of everything you’d need for the beach and loan it out for free, just the first hint that the friendly, resourceful people who work here go beyond the usual to keep guests happy. Bravo Beach Hotel sits on the narrow coastal road north of Isabela Segunda, on a lushly landscaped beachfront property. The ocean’s too rough for swimming, but most don’t mind as Bravo has two uncrowded, lovely pools. As for the digs, they consist of crisply contemporary rooms, suites and standalone villas, all of which are wonderfully spacious, practical (villas and suites come with usable kitchens and all have fridges) and pretty, with such niceties as Frette linens on the beds and quality shampoos and soaps in the bathrooms.
