Although it’s located in the middle of the island, just a short ride to the island’s beaches and restaurants, La Finca has the feeling of being on a remote lush hillside, deep in the wilds of a far-off paradise. Guests can look over all that nature from the huge terrace in the main plantation house, which also houses the communal kitchen and living area. Like the other buildings, this handsome wooden structure is enhanced by a homey decor of vibrantly colorful country fabrics and furnishings. The main house, Casa Grande, has three bedrooms that sleep up to six (book them separately or rent the whole house). On property are also three villas (sleeping two, five, and six people each), for those who want more privacy. The management can arrange activities throughout Vieques, but most guests spend at least one day just hanging out at the resort, picking fruit from the trees, swimming in the saltwater pool, and lounging in the hammocks.
