Planning a trip to Vila do Conde

Arriving

By Train -- Trains run from Porto's Estação de Trindade, Rua Alferes Malheiro (tel. 22/200-48-33), several times daily, taking 35 minutes each way, costing 3€ ($3.90) per person for a one-way ticket.

By Bus -- Buses leave Porto from the Auto Viação do Minho, Rua Régulo Megauanha (tel. 22/200-61-21). Three or four buses a day make the 40-minute trip. Tickets cost 3€ ($3.90).

By Car -- From Porto, head north along IC-1.

Visitor Information

Vila do Conde Tourist Office is at Rua do 25 de Abril 103 (tel. 25/224-84-73; www.cm-viladoconde.pt). It's open September to June Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am to 1pm and 2:30 to 5:30pm; July and August daily 9am to 7pm.
