Ocean views, an unusually friendly and helpful staff, and rooms that were updated in 2012, but still feel brand new: those are the primary reasons to pick this property (we think it's a better choice than the Courtyard on 37th street as that gets more noise from the military planes that have a flight path over ahead). As for the guest rooms, they're quite sleek with white bedding and a bold use of color in the furnishings. Kings feature a pullout sofa and narrow balcony. Two double-bed rooms have a chair and hassock. Families will appreciate that the suites have two doubles or a king bed with a pullout sofa in the sitting area and average only about $30 more a night in summer. The lobby bistro is also convenient, serving just fine breakfasts and dinners (they offer a full bar in the evenings). The only bummer: the indoor pool is pint-sized.
