Ocean Sands' central boardwalk location, amenities, and spacious rooms make it an excellent value. So what if the furnishings are simple and mass-produced—they do the job. In addition, the property is clean and well-maintained, though every once in a while you'll see a scrape or ding (more a sign of wear and tear, than any indication that the maids haven't been doing their jobs). There are three room levels—Dockmaster, Commodore, and Admiral—which vary by size. In each you can count on a small kitchen with dining table, sitting area with pull-out couch, and a full bedroom. In some configurations, the bedroom doesn't have a window but the sitting area window will and will be be a good size. The indoor pool's atrium has a retractable roof and there are sundecks adjacent to the pool and another on the second floor. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Nice perk: three floors have been set aside as "pure" rooms for those with allergies.
