You won't be in the thick of the action if you choose to stay at the Sheraton. It's right on the boardwalk, with direct beach access, but its on the north end, so quieter than other comparable hotels. That might be a plus, however, for those who prefer to suntan in peace. And a 2013 renovation, the Sheraton gave a much-welcome renovation to many of its public spaces, including it oceanfront restaurant. Complimentary parking, in a new garage across the street; and a lounge for relaxing or getting online. were added. The five-story cabanas wing now houses poolside suites with separate living area and private balconies. In the tower, rooms are standard and can be small, but they're comfortable and easy on the eye, decorated with teal and gold accents. King rooms have pullout sofas; all city-view rooms have king beds. All rooms have balconies. Other amenities include the new Kids Zone, which in-season offers child-friendly activities, as well as an indoor pool with two hot tubs overlooking Atlantic Avenue.
