Planning a trip to Vukovar and Ilok

Visitor Information -- Vukovar’s tourism office (www.turizamvukovar.hr; [tel] 032/442-889) at J. J. Strossmayera 15 is on the way to the Eltz Palace. The Ilok tourism office (www.turizamilok.hr; [tel] 032/590-020) at Trg Nikole Iločkog 2 is in the town center.

Getting There -- Buses run through the flat farmland and vineyards between Osijek and Vukovar with convenient frequency; they also run between Vukovar and Ilok.

Getting Around -- Both Vukovar and Ilok are best explored on foot, though Vukovar covers a much larger area. If you want to visit Ilok’s wineries, you’ll need your own transportation.
