Boat Excursions on Vulcano

You can rent your own boat at Centro Nautico Baia Levante, Porto di Levante (tel. 339-3372795; www.baialevante.it). With a boat, you can visit the hamlet of Gelso and explore the caves and bays that riddle Vulcano's western shores. Rentals prices range from 170€ to 700€ per day, fuel not included.

Excursions to Other Islands

From Vulcano, excursions to other Aeolian Islands can be arranged through Centro Nautico Baia Levante, Porto di Levante (tel. 339-3372795; www.baialevante.it), open April through October daily from 8:30am to 8pm. Day excursions, which head for the islands of Lipari, Filicudi, Alicudi, and Salina, begin at 10am and last until 6pm. The cost can range from 40€ to 100€ per person. Night excursions begin at 6pm and end at midnight, with similar costs.
