This is the only restaurant at Downtown Disney that wins acclaim from food critics in the wider area. Of all the chefs working Downtown Disney, contemporary Irish chef Kevin Dundon has the most imagination and the most consistent standards. Here, Irish staples are turned into sprightly new visions, including whiskey marmalade-glazed steak with basil oil, beef stew infused with Guinness, and good old fish and chips. Although the massive dining area is styled after an Irish pub, it’s 20 times noisier. There’s free live music most nights, and often step dancers. If you only want fish and chips, get it on the south side of the building for about $8 less at the counter-service Cookes of Dublin ★, run by the same people but with fewer surprising recipes.
