Studio Theatre, since its founding in 1978, has grown in leaps and bounds into a four-theater complex, helping to revitalize its U Street neighborhood in the process. Productions are provocative and the season jam-packed, at least seven plays on tap for the 2018–19 calendar. The Studio has had particular success in showcasing contemporary plays and nurturing Washington acting talent.
