This stylish, windowfronted dining room is a wash of creamy white punctuated with colorful tiles and artwork. The food is anything but vanilla. Of the 40 items on the menu, nearly half are tagged as spicy, and six of those as “very spicy,” like the ground duck and duck liver salad prepared with chilies and toasted rice powder and shallots (the menu changes frequently FYI). If you’re afraid of searing your tongue, you might try the crispy pork and shrimp spring rolls, or the blue crab fried rice (both are scrumptious). Start off or end your meal with a drink at the downstairs bar, 2 Birds, 1 Stone; its cocktail menu lists such drinks as punch du jour and a pina colada made with house-spiced rum.
