If you’re arriving via Whistler Mountaineer, this is likely where you will want to stay because the train station is right next door. It’s also a good place for anyone seeking a quiet refuge in the woods. The lodge is located south of Whistler Village in the community of Creekside, perched on the edge of pretty little Nita Lake. (It is the only lakefront hotel in Whistler.) The hotel has a graceful urban-contemporary-meets-rustic feel to it, with lots of exposed wood, river stone, and cast-iron fittings. Guest rooms are simply elegant, with gas fireplaces, navy or leather sofas, spa-style bathrooms, and some have balconies with views over the lake. There’s an on-site spa, yoga classes, and three restaurants: the luxe and innovative Aura, casual Fix Café for all your breakfast and coffee needs, and Cure Lounge, which specializes in charcuterie, drinks, and après ski, and has a gorgeous patio overlooking the lake. It’s worth noting that, although the hotel is outside the Village, it’s just a short drive to town or a slightly longer walk along the pleasantly meandering paved Valley Trail.
