Located between Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg, this sprawling hotel is a convenient choice for the many families splitting their time between the two attractions. Rooms are clean and decorated in pseudo-Colonial style with shades of blue and white. All have either a balcony or a patio. That this is an older property shows in the fact that the televisions have not yet been upgraded to flatscreens. Still, the staff is helpful and friendly and the indoor pool can be a godsend for families with active kids. Historic note: The hotel is located on the site of the 1862 Battle of Williamsburg. Look for the the grass-covered bunkers that remain.
