Various gift shops around town sell mountain produce such as dried roots, berries, and mushrooms, and specialist shops sell supposedly medicinal products (yes, including snake oil), but everything is ridiculously priced. When I inquired about a painting nearly identical to one I picked up in Guangzhou for ¥50, the guy took one look at me and asked for ¥5,000.
