In 2000, a group of Yarmouth residents set out to turn the decaying and abandoned Bass River Savings Bank in South Yarmouth into an arts and cultural center. They’ve transformed it into a happening year-round venue, with a succession of art exhibits in the center’s galleries, including the “vault,” which has the original bank vault door. In the evenings, even more fun can be had, as the center books local musicians as well as off-Cape musicians to perform.
