One of West Yellowstone’s old-timers—it was first built in the 1930s—Three Bear Lodge has had several facelifts over the years after several damaging fires, including the 2008 blaze. Today, the place features modern amenities, a Western-chic lobby with a stone fireplace and an outdoor pool. The owners salvaged much of the wood from the original building, turning it into bedframes, towel racks, and other guest room furnishings. Lodge rooms are very spacious; or at the adjoining motel, choose among simple doubles, suites, and rooms with huge Jacuzzi tubs. The lodge also arranges summertime van tours of Yellowstone and winter snowcoach and snowmobile outings.
