This new-in-2016 establishment manages to feel both old-fashioned and cutting-edge at the same time. Barnwood-style paneling and a tin ceiling put you in the mood for Annie’s signature treats, ice cream sodas like the ones you used to get at the five and dime—and what a treat they are. Choose from more than 30 soda flavors, from butter beer to mango to strawberry, then add ice cream, or go with one of the suggested pairings (like the Cowboy Rickey, limeade soda plus cherry ice cream). You can also cool off with a shake, sundae, or plain old cone. But don’t skip right to dessert: The creative panini and salads (some of which are served in a mason jar) are mighty tasty, too.
