This upscale restaurant in the park’s fanciest hotel delivers the most refined dining experience at Yellowstone. Though the food is quite good—think elk chops, trout, and roasted pheasant, prepared with an eye toward sustainable and organic ingredients—it’s only half the appeal. Spending an hour or two sipping wine in the sophisticated dining room, gazing out at front-row views of Yellowstone Lake, is in itself worth the bill. Make reservations for the restaurant well ahead of time, or at least a day or two beforehand.
