Yinchuan has plenty of accommodation, although choices at the bottom end are limited. There are cheapies by the train station in the new city although cleanliness is not a strong point, and it's only really worth staying here if you have an early train to catch. In the old city those on a budget should seek out the Ningxia Rongde Binguan (tel. 0951/603-7387) on Minzu Nan Jie, just south of the Ningfeng Binguan. This small, friendly hotel offers a good location and cheap and simple, but clean, carpeted rooms for ¥140.
