Overlooking the lovely Strossmayer Promenade, with amazing views over the city rooftops, Lotršćak Tower dates from the 13th century. Each day at noon, a cannon is fired from here to commemorate Croatia’s success in fending off the Ottoman Turks in the early 16th century. The tower now functions as a gallery, under the management of Klovićevi Dvori, hosting temporary exhibitions. You can climb to the top for views over the entire city and south across the River Sava.
