Zakopane has no shortage of places to eat, but it could certainly use a few more good places to eat. Most restaurants are decked out in wood, with carved wooden tables and animal skins and wrought iron everything-but-the-kitchen-sink affixed to the walls. The servers are made up to look like mountain folk, and you might even get a folk band to accompany your meal. This is all great, but in practice, it often means that little attention is paid to the food. Most of the restaurants are situated in the center, on or near Krupówki.
