Centro de Interpretación de las Ciudades Medievales
Undergoing massive reorganization, this museum is closed at least through 2026.
Since so much of Zamora remains medieval, it was a logical spot to open this center for the study of medieval cities. The cutting-edge facility built into the exterior of a city wall has a series of galleries that explore the historical, social, and cultural side of medieval life in central Spain with dioramas, scale models, and multilingual panels. You’ll make your way down to the lowest level of the museum, which is known as the Zen overlook, or “Mirador Zen.” It overlooks the Rio Duero from a softly lit room filled with faint music.
