Planning a trip to Zamosc
Zamosc has an ambitious Tourist Information Center (Rynek 13; tel. 84/639-22-92; www.zamosc.pl or www.zoit.zamosc.pl) located on the ground floor of the Town Hall on the Rynek. It's a great source for town and regional hiking and biking maps, as well as postcards, picture books, and souvenirs from Zamosc. The staff can book rooms and will help sort out transportation options. It also offers guided tours of the city starting at 80 z for a standard 2 1/2-hour tour. The Zamosc city website (www.zamosc.pl) has an excellent list of the most architecturally significant houses on the square and an explanation of each.
