Unlike many of Zermatt’s eateries, there’s nothing pretentious or glamorous about Sparky’s, situated at the top end of town en route to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise cable car. Travelers come here for simple, honest fare in a cozy pub setting. If you’re just looking for a light snack, tuck into a platter of nachos, spring rolls, potato wedges, or chicken wings, accompanied by Glühwein (spiced mulled wine) or beer. There are also heartier portions of homemade curry, vegetarian tagine, and braised sausages in red wine sauce. With its hostel location, it's fitting that this is one of the most affordable nights out in town.
