Botswana safari

Year before last, we went to South Africa and Botswana where we went on several safaris and a river safari.   They were all incredible, but the river one was beyond awesome.   There were so many hippos there that it was unbelievable.  There were also a lot of beautiful elephants with their tiny babies there.

In Botswana we stayed at Elephant Valley Lodge near Chobe and it was really a great place.  it was a permanent tented camp and  the staff was incredible.   Each and every person there went way beyond our expectations.  I made several videos there that I now have on YouTube.   One is the Chobe river cruise and the other is the leopards .  Botswana has a lot more animals that many other countries because of their laws protection the animals.

Looking for any feedback regarding Micato Safaris and their Timeless Botswana trip.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hello, Howzit, and Dumela firebird,

Both the company and the Timeless Botswana itinerary are very good choices for a safari in southern Africa. While Micato is better known in eastern Africa, they still have a very good reputation further south. As with all organized tours however, your final enjoyment often rests with the quality of your host/guide. It might be worthwhile asking Micato if this particular itinerary is guided by one of their own staff or if it is sub-contracted to a local tour operator and if so, the name of that operator. Feel free to then ask for my/other opinions of that local operator. Lastly, along with the quality of your host/guide, the enjoyment of your safari can also be affected by the weather. It's worth looking into the seasons in the Delta/Chobe/Victoria Falls region and whether the weather (pun intended) is good for general wildlife viewing or not.

Happy planning.
