A question on train safety in Europe

by Portia »

I'd like to know the best ways to secure a door on a train for safety.  A friend had his phone stolen while sleeping in a compartment on a train in Europe.  Are there good alarms or other types of ways to prevent theft on trains?  Thanks, PJ

Because conductors have to check cabins you're rarely alllowed to lock them from the inside. I would recommend sleeping with any valuables on your person or under your pillow.
