Only Skiied in the East and We're Thinking of Splurging and Doing Colorado This Year
Hoping folks can tell us:
1) Which area has the best apres ski scene? We tend to hit the slopes late (we're not hardcore) and break around 4pm so we can hang. Wondering which areas are the most likely to get good live music and have a laid-back scene?
2) We've always driven to ski mountains out east and I'm worried about the cost of taking our skis on the plane (which seems to be pricey). But I'm guessing that renting would be even pricier (I've always owned, so I don't know). What makes the most sense to you all, for a four-to-five day vacation?
3) We'll be flying into Denver before driving to a resort. Does it make sense to spend a night there first or just hit the road. Is it an interesting town?
4) Have there been problems with people skiing stoned? I don't want to go if it will be dangerous on the slopes.
Thanks for any insight anyone can give me!
