wedding in Granby

by lamancini16 »

Going to a wedding labor day weekend in Granby. Would like to be in area for a few days as never seen Colorado before. Should  we spend night in Denver or go to Boulder. Which one makes it easier to get to Granby? Any recommendations of where to stay while in Granby? thanks so much.

Denver and Boulder are only an hour apart, so I'd say either would work. Though Boulder is picturesque, I think Denver has more to see and do and would stay there so you can explore. Have a great time!

I would go north on I25 to Loveland and then  take 34 west.  This will take you through Estes Park and Rocky Mtn National Park, which is a nice town and RMNP is beautiful.  From Estes you will continue on to Grand Lake which is a nice area just outside of Granby.  Leaving the wedding, to return just continue on the loop through winter park and over berthoud pass to I70 and back to Denver or  the airport.
