American who wants to go to Cuba without a tour

by heloise »

Was just reading that Cuba is seeing record numbers of American visitors. I'm really not a tour person though. How dangerous is it to just go through Canada on one of those cheap packages? Anybody done that?

You wont get your passport stamped in Cuba but you will need to fill in a Visa,

The Canadian company you go with will send you one in the post.

All the visitors to Cuba need to do the same.

All the one's I've spoken to have had no trouble.

Many Americans have wives in Cuba and visit them 3 times a year !

$1500 US. (£1000) gets me return flights from the UK to Cuba.

All  Inclusive Hotel. 24 hour food and drink.

Mini Bar. Boat rides. Beach Lounger. Beach Bar with waiter service.

Evening entertainment. Disco with drinks.

Bicycles. Archery. Target shooting. Dancing lessons.

AND

It's for 2 weeks !

Canadians pay half that for 1 week.

While the US embargo continues, Cuba will remain an absolute bargain !!

A CONTRIBUTOR ASKING QUESTIONS HAS REMOVED THEIR POSTS FROM ABOVE.

It's OK - I'm not talking to myself.

A visitor to these pages said the thousands of $$$$ that an American pays to go to Cuba was just the same as the rest of the world pays!

Then withdrew all her comments !

The Blau Costa Verde is an excellent All IncHotel in Holguin.

Mostly Canadian visitors.

They keep returning to the same Hotel.

I've been 12 times.
