I dont just LOVE Paris, my passion since the 60’s borders on madness! I was a Sorbonne student during college and now, many years later, have been spending 4-6 weeks there every year or two...this September is the next, only 110 days to go. Ive rented a nice sized ( for Paris) apt not far off Blvd St Germain near Cafe de Flor, have my Navigo decouverte from 3 years ago to load up for the month, and used hard earned Skymiles to book Delta One outbound and Air France rerurn....hope the strike is over soon. Four friends are coming and have apts nearby. One has never seen Paris so ill enjoy showing her my fave places. I joined La Fourchette and enjoy the quick bookings and discounts (sometimes). With ND, i plan to visit St Denis and chateau Fountainbleu.
One of the perks of staying a month is going to the same Monoprix, patisserie, and marche every day or so. They start recognizing me and want to practice English while correcting my French. This way, im a part of the enighborhood for a month. I stay in different areas each trip and explore all the little winding streets and find special little corners ive never seen before while returning to many places i adore again and again.
As long as THE LORD keeps my body and bank account healthy, i hope to return every year!
