Philadelphia International Airport PHL Help

by littleriver »

My wife and I will be flying in to PHL from Seattle on Alaska Airlines deplaning in Terminal D.  We have a connecting flight  on US Airways Express departing from Terminal F to Halifax Nova Scotia.  Because Alaska and US Air are not partners they will not check our luggage through, so we will need to go to baggage claim, pick up our bags and proceed on to Terminal F to check in (and I assume have to go back through TSA Security).  I have requested a wheel chair to meet us at the gate in Terminal D as my wife is unable to walk long distances and I assume thay will take us as far as baggage claim.  I would welcome any suggestions on what the best way would be to get myself, my wife and our luggage to Terminal F.  I am hoping to have only one suitcase and two carry-on bags so I could mange the luggage.  Is there any train or shuttle service between terminals?

The info page for the PHL airport indicates that there is an inter-terminal shuttle and it can accomodate wheelchairs.
