Has anyone ever registered for a honeymoon?

by Traveling James »

We're thinking of doing it but are worried it might seem crass. Though frankly, we've lived together for years, so have all the plates we need. Any particular companies good to register with? Any advice greatly appreciated.

A friend of mine registered at TravelersJoy.com and I didn't think it was tacky at all. In fact, it was more fun shopping because I got to choose a massage for the couple, rather than just, I don't know, steak knives. I think they got everything they wanted that way, and had a great, less stressful honeymoon. If I were to get married again, I'd definitely do it!

My neice did it and it worked out very well for her. She got everything she wanted on her list (she did it through a travel agency) and had a wonderful honeymoon. I think it's a great strategy.

No... But i have decided on ireland as our honeymoon spot. we want somewhere that is excluded from busy cities, i would rather not spend more than $300 per night. Some where with beautiful scenery and amazing hotel rooms maybe close to a waterfront would be awesome. Have some idea????

We put together a honeymoon registry on honeyfund.com and it worked out wonderfully! I think our guests enjoyed helping us build a great honeymoon. i.e., 4-star hotel, romantic dinner, train tickets, etc.

We went to Belgium, Amsterdam, and South Africa. :o) He wanted a safari and I love European cities so this was a good compromise.

I posted a travel blog with tons of photos and our itinerary:

Enjoy registering for your honeymoon!

Can I register for our 40th wedding anniversary?  I would love it if someone would pay for us to go to Japan and China.

Yeah, it is crass and mercenary.
