I hope he will stop by as well, but in the meantime, I was able to get back to my regular computer and thus access the cached page from Google. (AWG: If you do some Google search with your screen name and some key words from your old threads, you can find lots of pages of your old trip reports still cached and available on the web, but I assume there is an expiration date)
So here is the relevant portion of that page, about Anthony Bourdain's recommended risotto restaurant:
AB visited Trattoria Da Romano in Burano and the fun part was watching the cook flip the risotto.
Here is a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rEjE45Geow
I also have mixed feelings about Anthony but sometimes his shows are quite entertaining. Da Romano BTW is mentioned in Plotkin's book, but I am not sure it is worth the trip just for the risotto. He (AB) seemed to think it was something special made with a broth from Goh fish.
"Ranari" was already on my list for Mantova. I seems like they have all of the Montovani specialties. Interesting unique cuisine in this town, eh?
As you know I travel to eat so of course I already started looking at food in Padova. I would probably be arriving on a Sunday and it looks like all 5 of the places listed in Plotkin's book are closed Sunday ;-( More research needed.
Gee this is fun, I sure missed the joy of planning a trip :-)
