Yes, please do come to Baltimore!
The city is in the midst of celebrating the War of 1812 and if you are a history fan, Fort McHenry and the Maryland Historical Society museum are musts. And there's so much else to see.
Baltimore's restaurants keep getting better and you'll find a crab cake in all of them (well, most.)
A lot of people think of the Inner Harbor when they think of Baltimore. It's home to the National Aquarium (order tickets on line before you come) and Harborplace (really a waterfront shopping center). For a good Baltimor experience, head to Fells Point and take a walking tour or the ridiculous Urban Pirate cruise, visit the shops, have a drink and a crab cake in one of the local taverns.
The Orioles are pretty hot this year and fans are hoping for the best.
If art is your thing, the Walters has some great exhibits and is a short walk from the Inner Harbor. There are also museums celebrating African-American history, historic ships and houses, science, the Star Spangled Banner, the Civil War, sports and comic books.
Have I convinced you yet? Come to think of it, I haven't started on the nightlife, or the boats, or the tours... There's lots going on in Charm City
